Day 7 | How to create a delightful morning routine

Image
If you create a consistent morning routine, not only will you naturally become healthier, but your productivity throughout the day will also improve. And if you make your morning routine something to look forward to, waking up in the morning will feel exciting even as you fall asleep the night before. In my case, I eat an apple and an egg every morning. This simple breakfast is more enjoyable to me than any expensive or fancy lunch or dinner. I also write in my journal every morning about the previous day. This quiet time of reflection enriches my mind with new insights. Additionally, I use an analog calendar that requires me to flip the date and day every morning. I have one in the living room and another in my bedroom, and this small ritual helps me appreciate each day more fully. And if the space where you do your morning routine is beautiful, wouldn’t that bring even more joy? Try creating a morning routine for yourself—you might find that every day becomes more delight...

DAY 6 | Minimal Iife & living

Image
Tumbler & plate : @falcon Source : @chloe_object Simple living makes us feel something.  There are many ways to simplify life. Here are a few things I’ve realized: Don’t do what you don’t want to do. Get rid of what you don’t use. Refrain from saying unnecessary words. Let go of negative emotions. And I want to differentiate two terms of minimal things.  Minimal Life vs. Minimal Living "Living" and "life" are different. "Living" means the act of existing, while "life" encompasses the overall experience of being alive. "Living" is purely physical, whereas "life" includes mental and emotional aspects as well. Minimal Life It is about simplifying life as a whole, focusing on what truly matters. It includes mental, emotional, and philosophical elements, emphasizing a minimalist approach to values and priorities. Example: Letting go of unnecessary relationships, focusing on meaningful values, and seeking inner peace. It refers ...

Day 5 | I bought HAY color crate boxes for future kids! and for me as a tool of desk organizer.

Image
I need a storage cabinet to organize items for the babies who will be born soon. That’s why I’ve been paying attention to storage brands, and the brand Tylko caught my eye. It’s a Polish brand, but unfortunately, they don’t deliver to Korea. So for now, I’ve decided to repurpose two existing IKEA cabinets as baby storage and use the Hay storage boxes to store smaller items. I came across Hay products by chance while searching online, and I love how they come in a variety of beautiful colors and can be stacked like blocks. You can even add wheels to make them portable. When I imagine the future when the kids are a little older, I think these boxes could be a fun way to teach them to clean up their toys or belongings. Since I’ll have two kids, I could assign different colors to each of them. The boxes come in different sizes, too, so it seems like an easy way to teach them how to organize from a young age: big boxes for large items, small boxes for small items. It’s obvious to us, but ...

Day 4 | Newborn Babies Essentials from South Korea

Image
Today, I started preparing for childbirth. There’s about a month left now. Korea is known for its low birth rate, right? That’s why the government provides various benefits to encourage people to have more children. But ironically, instead of having many children, parents here tend to invest heavily in the ones they do have. Even before giving birth, many parents research baby product brands extensively and create detailed lists. At one point, the high-end stroller brand Bugaboo was very popular here. Personally, I don’t want to waste money on items that will be used briefly and discarded, so I’m trying to keep my list simple and minimal. The thing I’m debating the most is the baby crib. I’ll be moving to a new home while I’m staying at the postpartum care center, so I’m not sure how to arrange the furniture according to the room layout yet. That’s why I’m not planning to purchase a crib right away. Also, I’m not planning to set up a separate nursery. I’ll just have the baby sle...

DAY 3 | How to avoid an addiction of followers on Instagram?

Image
Instagram | chloe_object When I first started Instagram, I wondered if there’s anyone who doesn’t think about wanting to gain more followers. Unfortunately, we’re addicted to followers, but it feels inevitable. When someone likes my post, I feel grateful. When they leave a comment, I feel even more thankful. And when they follow me, it genuinely makes me happy. But I realized that I don’t want to become addicted to gaining followers. Being addicted to anything isn’t good, right? So, I started thinking about how I could avoid being overly focused on gaining followers. If I get too caught up in it, I would feel more stress and lose its genuine fun. Here’s how I’ve been approaching it: Use Instagram as a tool for self-study and documenting trending information & knowledge. Use it as a way to gather information. Participate in major events hosted by companies and receive gifts. Accept sponsorships to promote brands and try out new products. Discover new tastes and preferences. Ma...

Day 2 | What are the differecens among Nordic, Danish, and Japandi?

Image
Above(Nordic) Bottom(Mid century modern)   Through my activities on Instagram under the theme of home styling, I’ve discovered my own taste. I realized this by noticing the characteristics of the photos I liked. This might be true for everyone, but when I didn’t know my own style, I found Instagram to be very helpful. At first, I was drawn to Scandinavian white-tone interiors, but later I shifted toward mid-century modern. This led me to buy Danish vintage furniture and enjoy following the home styling of my Danish friends on Instagram. Then I discovered something interesting: many of my Danish friends were following minimalist Japanese styles. So now, I’m styling my home by blending Nordic, Danish, Japanese, and mid-century modern designs. However, I’ve become curious about the subtle differences between Nordic, Danish, and Japanese home styling. - Nordic Style : Emphasi...

Day 1 | Hello, my name is Chloe, and I’m from South Korea.

Image
Hello, my name is Chloe, and I’m from South Korea. I’m starting this blog to document the things I love and the people I cherish. At first, I’ll mostly be writing about home decoration, but over time, I plan to expand to other topics like essays, paintings, and stories about life in Korea. I’m passionate about home styling, drawing, and listening to good music like jazz. I’m also drawn to well-organized spaces filled with vintage furniture, beautiful lighting, and meaningful objects. Writing essays that capture lessons from everyday life is another thing I love. As I start this blog, I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant, so I’d also like to share stories about my pregnancy journey here in Korea. Thank you so much for joining me on this journey—it truly means a lot to me. If you have any feedback or questions, feel free to send me a DM on Instagram.  Link :  Instagram
